LOCAL ONLY

Local AI arena. Choose ROM AI for the game's built-in CPU or no ml bot for the Genesis scripted bot.

Load your local NHL94 ROM to begin.

Sound FRAME 0

Ready. Select an uncompressed original NHL94 Genesis ROM.

Arrows: skate/menu · Z: A · X: B · C: C · Enter: Start. Gamepad: select your device and check its mapping in Step 3.

Bot Configuration

Applies to no ml bot slots. Changing settings pauses the match and resets bot decisions. Lower frequencies hold all inputs between decisions, including goalie inputs. Ratings-off changes the AI's view, not game physics. Same-team no ml bot slots coordinate automatically and use native automatic goalies.

1. Load your game

Local NHL94 ROM (.bin, .md, .gen)

Original ROM only for this test. No ROM is bundled or uploaded.

Default start: Sabres vs Mighty Ducks, with manual goalies. The supplied match state is restored after loading your ROM.

Home/Away changes the in-game controller assignment. ROM AI and None release that controller; teams without an assigned controller use the game's built-in ROM AI. Assign up to three no ml bot teammates to one team against the CPU or a Human on the other team. Up to two Human slots use keyboard/on-screen controls and the selected gamepad.

3. Input device

Keyboard and on-screen controls are available without a gamepad. Select a gamepad below to use it with your Human controller slot.

Gamepad setup and live inputs

Standard gamepads and the M30 / 6B receiver (0ca3:0024, 10 buttons / 3 axes) work automatically. Use setup to override the defaults or configure another layout. Custom mappings are saved in this browser. Reset mapping restores the automatic preset when available.

No selected gamepad input.

If no device appears, click the page and press a gamepad button. In Firefox, check that gamepad support is enabled and try a regular browser window if this is an embedded page.

4. Inspect and replay

Load a local input replay

Replays restore their recorded starting state and controller changes, then use recorded buttons, not bot inference. Maximum recording: 108,000 native frames.
